hey there, name's laurel.

Summer To-Do List

lauripple:

The rest of these must get accomplished this summer. D:<

Bolded are of the most importance.

  • Finish editing 2011 NaNoWriMo and publish.
  • Send over PDFs of books to Charlie G because you promised.
  • Take driving lessons.
  • Reschedule marimba and piano lessons.
  • Finish summer HW and prepare for first-week tests.
  • Run 5 or 6 miles without stopping.
  • Finish friendship bracelet for Alec S.
  • Learn more Python.
  • Read more books and watch more TV/movies.
  • Watch Batman: The Dark Knight Rises.
  • Watch Once: The Musical.
  • Get light haircut.
  • Buy back-to-school clothes.
  • Buy new art supplies.
  • Buy school supplies.
  • and continuing…

So I’ve finished pretty much most of these. Some I have to give up on. Piano lessons I’m gonna let my dad reschedule haha…

I wonder if I’ll ever finish that friendship bracelet for Alec S. T_T I haven’t even talked to him in so long… Meh I really should because I promised.

Also, I feel bad for taking Alec F’s Python book and not sticking to learning it. I got through about 100 pages before everything this summer started to sweep me off my feet and I got busy and… =( (well, we can’t always do everything, right? sigh if only that weren’t true)

Otherwise, the only one that I feel bad about is not running 5 miles. I tried the other day but I barely had anything to eat and I just died. T_T However, I have been doing at-home workouts 2-4 times a week and those are really effective (probably more so than a distance run). Oh well - one day it shall be done.

Otherwise, is there anything else left to do? I worked a bit on my painting today (although the apple looks kinda atrocious, I can’t wait for my easel to ship over bleh), I printed out all my assignments… I organized everything for school…

Maybe I could upload some photos from Cali later tonight.

(oh yeah I need to study for SAT Math 2… I’ll make myself do that tonight)

Other than that. Junior year, here I come. =)/=(

Movies to Watch This Summer (and on)

I can watch about 2 movies a day at art class, sooo these are the movies I hope to be able to watch in my last 3 days (and anytime in the rest of my life)… Basically I’m compiling a list of movies for the days when I might want to watch one, but don’t know which one to choose.

  • Batman: The Dark Knight Rises (this one I want to watch in theaters)
  • Snow White and the Huntsman
  • The Help
  • My Sister’s Keeper
  • Good Will Hunting
  • I Am Sam
  • Remember Me
  • Brokeback Mountain
  • Love and Other Drugs
  • Step Up (the whole series)
  • The Time Traveler’s Wife
  • Schindler’s List
  • The King’s Speech
  • A Miyazaki film
  • Batman Begins
  • Saving Private Ryan
  • Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
  • A Beautiful Mind
  • The Chronicle
  • Bride Wars
  • I Am Legend
  • Scott Pilgrim vs. The World
  • Pride and Prejudice
  • Secret
  • …………..

Which one should I even watch tomorrow OTL
